Blogs with Balls, Vegas Edition
This past weekend, we were fortunate enough to make it out to Las Vegas for the second Blogs With Balls conference, which brought together sports bloggers from around the nation. It was a fantastic experience, and we’re not just referring to getting propositioned by the finest hookers Nevada has to offer.
The panels were informative, and we learned a lot about the evolving sports media landscape, but the real highlights took place after the panels ended when we were able to get to know some of our fellow members of the sports blogosphere. From hanging out with the Yardbarker crew, to Phil from Gunaxin, to Adam “well-dressed” Best of FanSided, it was a blast. We even found time to grab a late night whiskey with the one and only Shotgun Spratling, who is evidently getting his Ph.D. in Tweeting from the prestigious University of Southern California.
But besides the women and the whiskey, what really went down at BWB 2.0? The best way to understand all that was covered is to take a look at the hilarious video that the guys at Wondershot Productions put together to kick off the conference:
We’d be remiss if we didn’t thank the sponsors of Blogs With Balls, too –FoxSports.com, Yardbarker.com, ESPN.com, SB Nation, Sports Illustrated, Diageo Liquors, and Carbon Poker. Their gracious support made it possible for us bloggers to afford it.
And of course, a very special thanks to Don, Kyle, and Chris from HHR Media Group for putting the whole shebang together.
