Marriage Isn’t Just for a Season
Norm & Cynthia Brooks grew up down the street from one another, and met as children. Folks around the neighborhood could tell that they were sweet on each other and no one was surprised when they started dating in high school. After three years of college, Norm proposed and shortly after graduation the happy couple moved to the suburbs of St. Louis to start their lives, and maybe even their own family.
But that was before Norm grew addicted to fantasy sports and started pulling tricks in a public bathroom in order to survive week-to-week in his league. That was before he pawned her jewelry and picked flowers from their garden to sell on the side of the highway. Now her happy marriage seems like a distant memory.
But Cynthia hasn’t given up…yet.
