Nearly every NFL team deals with the same issue: a player who’s prodigiously talented on the field but a nightmare off the field. Brandon Marshall, Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson…the list goes on. Every GM must decide whether talent trumps team comradery, or vice versa.
Our own Darnell Goodman has a unique view on these so-called “problem” players. He believes that, like any good recipe, a good team must have the right balance of ingredients. Grandma’s buckwheat cake wouldn’t taste the same without her homemade molasses just like the Bengals wouldn’t be the same without Ochocinco’s energy.
