“On Hope and Redemption” by Norm Brooks

Anything is possible in the city of St. Louis…
Last night, as I was reading how the Falcons are shopping Vick’s contract to other teams, I fell asleep. Now it could have been the sub-zero temperatures in my cardboard box, or maybe it was the Chinese food I pulled out of the dumpster for dinner, but I had the most vivid dream.
I saw Michael Vick holding the Lombardi Trophy under St. Louis’ great arch – it was as clear as day.
Our Rams currently have no direction and absolutely nothing to lose, so why not add Mike Vick? If it doesn’t work, what’s the big deal?
The city of St. Louis needs you, Mike – it’s time for redemption. But more than that, you and I need each other, Mike. We’ve both declared bankruptcy. We’ve both done things we don’t ever want to speak of again. And in this dark, depressing city famous for cheap beer and even cheaper women, you and I can find a fresh start together.
