It’s well documented that I’ve never been a fan of the D.C. brass, and their relentless pursuit to destroy the hard work that we here at the BCS pour ourselves into has driven me to the bottle on more than one occaison. But I’m not the only one: Ned has developed a raging case of OCD, Kelly can’t stop using dirty chimp-sex as a stress reliever, and Mason’s debauchery has put him over $10k in debt to the good folks over at Chiquita.
Through it all, Hatch and his cronies in Washington refuse to let up, and yesterday they stooped even lower by directly pandering our Commander-in-Chief.
Sure, President Obama has gone on record saying that he’s in favor of a playoff system, but you don’t have to be Karl Rove to understand that it was pure political maneuvering. And in the end, the decision comes down to the money — Hatch is nothing more than the fat kid at the Mormon birthday party who wants a bigger piece of cake.
So if you want a shot at a BCS bowl bid, there’s one way to go about it: line my pockets, Notre Dame-style. Until then, you can kiss my bulbous red ass.
