Point/Counterpoint: Is Bowden’s misogyny warranted?

Point: As a seasoned leader of men, I can understand where Bobby Bowden is coming from. When the going gets tough, nothing’s easier than blaming a woman, and no one would agree with that more than my three ex-wives. But it takes a bigger man not to stoop to such a level because, let’s face it, women can’t take criticism worth a damn, and the liberal media will always make you look like an asshole. Did Pete Carrol blame one of the song girls when they lost to the Huskies? Did Legarette Blount blame his indescretion on his girlfriend? Did Tim Tebow blame the Virgin Mary when he got a concussion? No, no, and no.
I’ve always respected Coach Bowden, but if he wants to stick around in this day and age, he’s gotta use a little more restraint. (And for the record my three ex-wives were a bunch of whores.)

Counterpoint: Leave it to a woman to pour salt in your wound. That’s exactly what happened the other day when Bobby Bowden was innocently fielding questions from a bunch of ungrateful reporters. Coach Bowden does as he damn well pleases, and he sure as shit doesn’t need to field questions from a some know-it-all woman in a business suit — that’s what 382 career wins buys you. As for Coach Bowden’s wife? He’s most definitely gonna have a “stern talk” with her later on…and we all know that Bobby speaks most elequently with his fist.
Let’s face it, FSU is steeped in misogynistic tradition. And I say, don’t change.
