Point/Counterpoint: Sammy loves School

“I wonder if chicks dig the injured guy as much as the starting QB…”
Point: Sam Bradford could’ve had it all. After last season’s Heisman campaign, Sammy was slated to be a top draft pick, and given all the turnover in the NFL at the quarterback position, he probably would have been starting from day one. He took his team to a National Championship, cementing himself as a Sooner legend, and if he’d have left early, he would have missed out on…a degree? In the NFL he’d land endorsements, a guaranteed contract, and the knowledge that he didn’t pass up the opportunity of a lifetime. Wouldn’t you feel like a dumbass if you blew your chance to be a starting QB in the NFL for that Underwater Basket Weaving seminar?

Counterpoint: Oklahoma Sooners’ starting quarterback. Do you know what those four words get when you’re in Oklahoma? A blow job. Instantly.
Sam Bradford isn’t a fool. He’s a big fish in a small pond; the king of Norman, Oklahoma. But outside the Sooner State, he’s not much more than a country boy with a strong arm. Take it from Matt Stafford — unless your idea of a rollicking Saturday night is talking about the dying automobile industry with a retired factory worker at the bar down on the corner, the NFL can be a rough place. Especially for a rookie.

I have a problem with Sam Bradford going to the NFL. Yeah, it would have been great for him to have entered the NFL and automatically make millions. But c’mon, after the draft and knowing he was the best possible QB to pick, which team would he have joined? The Detroit MuthFuckin Lions! Half of that money he would have received would have been used on his injuries anyway since the Lions have an awful line. Give me blow jobs any day even if it meant getting millions and if it meant I had to play for the damn Lions!!! Oh and that injury he has, hurts like a mofo!!!
Big fish in small pond happens with any QB moving to the NFL
