Only one game is in the books, but it’s already started up again.

Blount shouts “Long live the BCS!” as he is dragged off the field.
With Boise St.‘s thrashing of Oregon last night, Herbstreet and the rest of the peanut gallery are already clamoring about this year’s “BCS buster.” Can Boise St. run the table? And if they do, will they have a shot at a BCS bowl game or even the National Championship?
Well, here’s your official answer: no way, fuckstick.
The real story of last night’s game had nothing to do with BCS implications; it was LeGarrette Blount punching Bryon Hout in the jaw as the teams walked off the field. And as the proud CEO of the BCS, I had to laugh. Despite the bullshit sportsmanship initiative coming from the American Football Coaches Association, encouraging teams to shake hands before the game, LeGarrette’s fist said it all: no one likes you, Boise St. Not your smug underdog attitude, not your freewheelin’ style of play, and certainly not your fruity blue turf.
College football is about grit, toughness, and tradition and beating a mediocre Pac-10 squad provides none. And until the WAS Conference teams start playing the big boys week in and week out, you won’t see them on the national stage. Let’s be honest, they call it the “wack” conference for a reason.
