BCS Headquarters — November 16, 2008

Last week Mason graced us with his theory on how the teams should be ranked…and, surprise surprise, it was less about the S-E-C and more about the S-E-X.

So this week, it’s time to take a more scientific approach being touted by none other than our resident number cruncher, Ned Baxter. According to Ned, the complex game of football can be broken down into a series of numbers and algorithms, and when determining who’s headed to Miami to play for all the marbles, it begins and ends with the sacred Mountain West Algorithm.

Let’s just hope that Ned brought an extra chart. Or at least some baby wipes.
