Fun with Pixelated Portraits

We tend to stay away from stats.  But every now and then something is so statistically relevant, that we can’t help but highlight it.

So when we came across Flip Flop Fly Ball, we had to take notice.  Not only does this site answer such time-honored questions as “What was the distance covered by all base runners during the 2006 season?” and “Exactly how many teams called the Senators or Nationals does one town need?” but it does so using sharp looking graphs and visual aids.

And while it’s pretty cool to see how the Green Monster compares in size to such monuments as the Statue of Liberty and the O from the Hollywood sign, our favorite thing on the site shows what would happen if the Wu-Tang Clan Faced off against the E Street Band in a 9 inning ballgame. Who knew that Method Man was such a nasty Center Fielder?
